The Joy and Health Benefits of Annual Fasting

Describe one habit that brings you joy.

One habit that brings me joy is fasting once a year. It goes without saying that we cannot live without food, and ever since we were born, we have been eating. This means that our intestines are working nonstop.

As I’ve shared before, I managed to lose 4kg by doing a complete fast for three days. I came to believe that we always have at least 2kg of food in our stomachs.

When you empty your stomach and intestines, you start to absorb things that you normally cannot expel. After breaking the fast, I flush my system with hot water and finely chopped radishes, which cleanses my stomach and intestines.

I believe that if you continue this practice once a year, you can prevent diseases of the stomach and intestines.

I just switched to mainly vegetarian diet and am feeling so much better. Maybe I will add in some fasting as well!

      I think that’s wonderful.
While there are challenging days when fasting, you can truly feel the rhythm of your body. It’s often said that how you break your fast is crucial, so I’d recommend gradually returning to your regular diet over the course of the day.

        I will try that!

So far, I’ve managed to do a 24 hour fast. I think I’ll have to work up to 3 days 🙂

If you decide to start fasting, it is recommended to have one meal a day or eat lightly for a few days before you begin and for three days after you finish. Especially, the days following the fast are crucial. However, please do not push yourself too hard. It can be life-threatening.

Right now I’m doing intermittent fasting 20:4 which means I fast for 20 hours and eat within a four hour period. I’ve been doing that for about two months now. 🙂 I went 24 hours once just to mix things up a bit. ^_^

That’s wonderful. I hope you can continue without straining your body. ♪
Fasting seems simple, but it’s quite challenging, so it’s very commendable.
I hope your health improves 🙏. Thank you for sharing ☺️.

How long do you fast? 24 hours?

    1. Tasty line says:

I’ve fasted is 80 hours, which is a little over 3 days. I initially thought of continuing for 4 days, but I gave up due to feeling unwell. However, my original intention was to fast for 3 days, so I did achieve my goal.

      1. mygenxerlife says:

Wow… that’s a long time. I’m not sure I can go for three days, but could probably do two. I’m thinking about starting slow. Maybe 24 hours to start. Kudos to you on 3 days!
