Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

The most influential teacher for me was my grade-level coordinator during junior high school.

To be honest, we weren’t the best students during our junior high school years and caused a lot of trouble for our teachers. We never went to class and just played around.

On days off from school, he took us fishing and hiking, and because of that, I think many students were able to avoid being truant. I would like to meet him again someday to express my gratitude.

お世辞にも中学時代の私たちは、とても良い学生ではなくて、沢山先生に迷惑をかけました。授業にも出ずに、遊んでばかりでした。そんな子供達と真剣に向き合ってくれた先生です。学校が休みの日は釣りやハイキングなど連れて行ってくれました。そのお陰で沢山の生徒が非登校せずにすんだと思います。いつかまたお会いして感謝の気持ちを伝えたいです。
