The Unquenchable Thirst for Travel: A Journey to the Four Corners of the World
What countries do you want to visit?

A world filled with an abundance of diverse cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and captivating history, is a world that continuously fuels my insatiable curiosity and the burning desire to explore. Even though I’ve had the privilege of setting foot in fifty different countries, it’s a staggering realization that I’ve barely scratched the surface of what this planet has to offer.

Africa, the cradle of humanity, tops my list of destinations yet to be explored. Although I have previously marveled at the enigmatic pyramids of Egypt and strolled through the vibrant souks of Morocco, my yearning is to venture further south, immersing myself in the raw beauty and biodiversity of this vast continent.

Next on my list are the Asian powerhouses – China and South Korea. Despite my Japanese heritage, these countries remain unchecked on my travel bucket list. Once considered proximate, living in Canada has inevitably made these destinations feel significantly further.

Dreaming of Caribbean sunsets, I wish to island hop my way to South America. The Jamaican rhythms of yesteryear’s reggae, the infectious dancehall music, and the cultural vibrancy draw me in. I also long to revisit Cuba, a country that once treated me to an unforgettable experience.

The tantalizing Southeast Asian triad of the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia also beckon. In the Middle East, Iran and Saudi Arabia pique my interest with their rich histories and diverse cultures.
Aside from the spectacular sights, the pursuit of global gastronomy is an equally compelling reason to travel. I yearn to discover and indulge in the myriad of mouthwatering dishes each country has to offer.
I’m aware of the immensity of this quest. But knowing that I have only explored a mere quarter of the world’s countries further invigorates my wanderlust.
Thank you for reading and accompanying me on this remarkable journey through words, and perhaps, it may inspire you to create your own globe-trotting adventures.
